2.14.18

1. Unfortunately I spent a majority of my class time trying to get my laptop to connect to the internet. For some reason I couldn't see any available networks so I was unable to discover any samples. I tried making a few beats from scratch but I didn't really enjoy any of them except one idea I started on.

2. Once I expanded on the beat I partially enjoyed, it started sounding a little better but I'm still not sure if I am going to use it. I want to release at least one more single before February ends.

3. Once Carlos showed up, he showed me some beats from the Black Panther inspired EP we're collaborating on. Things are definitely coming along.

1. I continued working on my thesis paper. I believe it's coming along pretty well. I'm about five pages in. I'm going to ask Mr. Correa to proof read it. 2. I also was contacted by a booking agency to perform a show on April 27th. However, it was in Forth Worth on a Friday night at around 11 pm. I declined because I don't think a lot of my peers would drive roughly 40 minutes to go see me perform that late at night. Luckily, the agent asked if I was available May 18th. I accepted this offer although its the same night as Townview prom. Most of my friends aren't even going to that so I decided to take it!

1. I decided to create a Hip-Hop album for my thesis. I got the idea from Obasi Shaw, a Harvard student who created an album for his Senior Thesis. I want to talk about social injustice our country/the world faces (race, religion, sexual orientation) in the songs from the album. I also want to touch on my own hardships not only facing these injustices, but also my struggles throughout life in general. 2. I started making the first track for the album.
